uRex iPhone DVD Ripper Review and Giveaway

The software is installed very quickly and without any problem, the whole process is done in within 20 seconds time. There is absolutely no hassle in getting the program up and running!

Brilliant yet simple, easy and clean designed interface of yet another great work of uRexsoft . The main interface looks pretty simple and what more importantly, easy to understand to get started. However, one point to note this time is that they added in a Samsung phone image in their interface instead of iPhone. A program designed specially for the iPhone (at least based on the name of the software) with a Samsung Phone as the cover is not pleasant and somewhat quite disappointing in my point of view.

As shown in the image above is the program main interface, where you will notice that there is an option to set the setting of your output file as well as its video and audio setting.  After choosing your desired phone model and got the DVD ready, it will automatically set a default output settings for you. So basically you need not worry about the settings especially for the inexperienced or not-so-advanced user. If you were to insert the wrong disc other than a DVD, it will pop up a "No DVD title(s) found. Maybe not a Valid DVD" message to notify user. Apart from using a DVDs, you are also able to convert in ISO file format.


Converting


uRex iPhone DVD Ripper allows user to rip from both the iso file format as well as in DVDs. During testing, I use the previously used video (the same video used on uRex iPhoneVideo Converter test) that are about 1 minute and 42 length long. Unfortunately, when the output was set to the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 settings, the conversion speed started to slow down and it took me around 12 minutes to convert the 1 minute plus DVD, which is not as fast as I expected. However, when the output setting was set to the iPhone 3G setting, the speed slightly improve and this time it only took me about 1 minute to complete the process. Never-the-less, it is still a great conversion software with quite some impressive feature especially the ability to remove all copy encryption and region locks. Besides, what matter most (for me at least) is that it actually does it job pretty well as what it promised.
